Firewall implementation and migration
Putting a firewall in is the easy part. Getting every rule, route and exception across to a new platform without surprises is the work.
We implement firewalls on the major platforms and migrate between them. A migration is planned around what the old device really does, not only what its configuration says, and the new design is checked against the same traffic before the cut-over.
We also configure the services that make a firewall useful: threat prevention, URL filtering, user identification, SSL decryption and multi-factor authentication for remote access.
What this covers
- New firewall deployments on Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco and Check Point
- Migration between vendors, for example Cisco ASA to Fortinet, with the new services designed in
- Migration of both firewall and LAN to new vendors as one redesigned build
- Threat prevention, URL filtering, User-ID and SSL decryption
- Remote access VPN and multi-factor authentication, for example with DUO or FortiAuthenticator
- Policy review and rule base clean-up during a move, with tools such as FireMon and Tufin
