Privacy policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026.
This policy explains what personal information the website www.oslonit.com (the "site") collects, why, and what happens with it. The site is operated by Oslon IT Limited ("OslonIT", "we", "us"), an Ontario corporation, which is responsible for the information described here. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy:
Visiting the site
The site sets no cookies, uses no advertising and no third-party trackers: its pages, fonts and images come from our own servers. Like any web server, ours handles your IP address and the address of the page you ask for in order to answer you. We do not use them to identify you.
Counting visits
Visits to the site may be counted by KNet SIA, our own analytics, which runs on our own server (analytics.karlonet.com). It is first-party: what it counts stays with us and is not shared with or sold to anyone. It sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses. From the address it derives only the country, region and city, and it keeps a visitor code that changes every day, so a visit can be counted once without recognising you on another day.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, your visit is not counted.
The contact form
If you send a message through the form, we receive:
- your name and e-mail address;
- your phone number and job title, if you enter them;
- your company, if you enter it;
- the areas you pick and your message.
We use this only to answer you. The site does not store the message: it is sent by e-mail to our mailbox, and it stays there for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. If you write to us by e-mail or phone instead, the same applies to what you tell us.
To keep the form from being misused, the server counts messages per visitor address, in memory only, for a short time. The address is not written to any file or database, and the counters are lost when the server restarts.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your information. Messages travel through the e-mail service that delivers our mail, which handles them only to deliver them.
Your rights
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to us if you think we have handled it wrongly. Write to the address above. In Canada you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
The site is for businesses and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy, the date above changes. Our other websites have their own policies; for the Karlonet product site see karlonet.com/privacy. Back to the home page.
